Donation & Refund Policy

Last updated: 5 July 2026

This policy explains how donations to Anand-Math Foundation ("we", "us", "the Foundation") are received and used, and how we handle refunds of erroneous transactions. Please read it before making a donation.

How donations are used

All donations are voluntary and are applied towards the Foundation's charitable objects — chiefly the construction and running of the Gurukul and Ashram at Mohanlal Ganj, Lucknow, and the free teaching of Vedanta. The Foundation is a public charitable trust and carries no debt.

Tax exemption & receipts

  • The Foundation is registered under Section 12A and Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
  • A donation receipt bearing our registration numbers is issued for every contribution. To receive yours, write to us with your payment reference, full name and PAN.
  • 80G registration: ABBCA1186EF20251 · 12A registration: ABBCA1186EE20251 · PAN: ABBCA1186E.

Payment methods

Donations may be made by bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS), UPI or by scanning our UPI QR code, using the details on our Donate page. We do not currently process card payments through an online gateway. For cheque or larger contributions, please contact us.

Refunds

Because donations are voluntary gifts that are put to charitable use, they are generally non-refundable. However, we understand that genuine mistakes happen. We will review and, where appropriate, refund a donation in cases such as:

  • a duplicate payment made in error;
  • an incorrect amount entered by mistake;
  • an unauthorised transaction.

To request a review, write to anandmathfoundation@gmail.com within 7 days of the transaction, with the payment date, amount, reference number and the reason. Approved refunds are made to the original payment source within a reasonable time. If an 80G receipt has already been issued for a refunded amount, the receipt will be cancelled.

Recurring donations

We do not currently offer automatic recurring donations. Each contribution is a one-time gift made by you.

Records

We keep records of donations and receipts as required by law. Your information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
